Mango Avocado Salad Recipe
This mango avocado salad is incredibly easy and fast to make. It is versatile and can be adjusted to your liking.

Ingredients
- Mango: Firm ripe mangoes. Pick mangoes that are fragrant but firm enough to prevent them from turning into mush.
- Avocado: Hass avocados pair well with sweet mangoes.
- Bell pepper: Red bell peppers work the best. Green bell peppers or jalapenos can also be used.
- Green onions: Green onions, spring onions or scallions add a spicy freshness to the salad.
- Lime: Fresh lime juice works wonderfully in this salad.
- Tajin: Tajin spice mix ties the whole salad together. Use a mix of lime zest, crushed red chili flakes and salt as a substitute.

How to Make Mango Avocado Salad
- Peel and dice mangoes and avocados into similarly sized cubes. Thinly slice the red pepper and green onions/spring onions/scallions. Add to a bowl.
- Squeeze the juice of 1/2 a lime over the salad and mix gently with a spoon. Taste and add the remaining half of the lime.
- Serve the salad into plates and garnish with a good sprinking of tajin or tajin substitute.

This mango avocado salad tastes best when it’s fresh. However, leftover salad can be mashed into a salsa or added to guacamole.
Substitute Ingredients
- Tajin: Mix zest of 1 lime, 1 tbsp mild chili flakes and 1/2 tsp salt in a bowl. This can be used as a substitute for tajin.
- Lime: Lemons can be used too but I would recommend using fresh limes if available.
