Mango avocado salad with juicy mangoes, creamy avocados, crunchy bell peppers and a tangy dressing! This delicious salad is perfect for picnics, lunches and cookouts.
Peel and dice the mangoes and avocados into similarly sized cubes. Thinly slice the red pepper and green onions/spring onions/scallions. Add to a bowl.
Squeeze the juice of 1/2 a lime over the salad and mix gently with a spoon. Taste and add the remaining half of the lime.
Serve the salad into plates and garnish with a good sprinking of tajin or with the alternative mentioned in note 1.
NOTES
Mix zest of 1 lime, 1 tbsp crushed mild chili flakes and 1/2 tsp salt in a bowl. This can be used as a substitute for tajin.
Lemons can be used instead of lime. I would recommend fresh limes if available as they pair best with mangoes.
Leftover salad can be mashed into a salsa or added to guacamole.
