  • 3 bread slices (sourdough, multigrain, or your preferred type)
  • 3 tbsp pizza sauce (or marinara sauce)
  • mozzarella cheese (as needed)

  • basil, olive oil and red pepper flakes (optional garnish)
Instant Pizza Sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves (grated)
  • 1 tbsp water

INSTRUCTIONS
 

  • If you don't have pizza sauce or marinara on hand, add all the ingredients mentioned under "instant pizza sauce" to a bowl and mix until combined.
